(A Day) and Night of the Arts

We started off last Saturday morning with a lovely piano recital at Ridglea Presbyterian Church. Abigail played "Sonatina in C" Opus 36 No. 1 by Muzio Clementi. And, according to her, "I messed up three times."  She played very well in our opinion.  It's always a delight to watch and hear her play, those little fingers moving so rapidly over the keys. She likes fast songs and this sonatina certainly qualifies.

On Saturday evening, we went to Grace Prep to attend "Night of the Arts," presented by the high school students. Several dramas were performed and the art students had their works displayed.  Coffee and desserts were served and it was a really enjoyable evening.

Next weekend Katherine travels to Austin for the TAPPS State Contest. Hope to have more good news to report, as in....Katherine wins big, gets a scholarship, PAYS FOR COLLEGE!!!! Hey, I can dream, can't I?

Abigail's face in that last pic reminds me of a particular pic from the 2007 Christmas photo shoot...

Having said that, she looks adorable in her recital outfit, and I'm sure she played beautifully as always. And K's artwork is phenomenal, so I anticipate great results from TAPPs.
