I was in Hobby Lobby yesterday to pick up some t-shirts and fabric paint. The store employees were putting out Christmas ribbon. Yes. As my nanny might say, "What is this world coming to?" Must we have Christmas trappings out in June? That's just disturbing.

I thought I saw that too, but just kept walking, thinking surely I was seeing things. Apparently not! Oh my word! I mean, I love Christmas as much as (probably more than) the next person, but it's a BIT too early. Then again, maybe it will enable us to get some good ideas for "Christmastime Is Here."
Very disturbing. Didn't we just have Christmas? Please tell me we did, because I still have some Christmas decoration in the corner of my living room (in fancy new boxes that I got for nothing because I waited so long to put up my stuff that they were practically giving them away). But I digress. I think.... What was I saying? Oh yeah - disturbing! It's all disturbing. That's it. Pretty much everything is disturbing. Yep... that just about covers it. Okay, I'm done now.
On one hand, I'll give craft stores a break for putting things out ahead of time, so that you can make things in time for Christmas. However, June is WAY too early! And, if you are a crafter who is buying Christmas stuff in June, then I'm amazed with that person. It's just way too hot and way too early.
Your eyes are not deceiving you - Garden Ridge already had out Fall and Thanksgiving things out the other day. I started to doubt myself, thinking wow I thought it was June and the next holiday was July 4th. ???? I am ssssoooooo not ready to think about Thanksgiving OR Christmas. Don't stress me!
