We attended the Stock Show Art Contest lunch this morning. Katherine brought along her "art buddy," Sarah, to enjoy the awards ceremony. While Katherine was disappointed about a 5th place finish, she really should not have been. Her picture is fantastic and there were many really good pictures that didn't have a ribbon on them at all. One of the best parts of winning is the $50.00 check they give you along with the ribbon. Of course, her dad says the check should go to him for art lessons, gasoline, etc.

Having seen the artwork in person, I will echo what I've said previously - Katherine, you were robbed! But keep up the good work. Hopefully you'll continue to win in the contest each year, and to move up in the standings.

Wow, Katherine is quite an artist. I suppose you have a gallery in your home! I believe what Barb said is true.
